How to use petri dishes and precautions

Instructions:
Put the reagent bottles that need to be used in a suitable position on the work area, and loosen the caps of the reagent bottles to be used;
Put the petri dish in the center of the work area;
Remove the cap of the reagent bottle and suck the reagent out of the reagent bottle with a straw;
Put the lid of the petri dish behind the petri dish;
Gently inject the culture medium directly into the base of one side of the petri dish;
Cover the lid of the petri dish;
Place the petri dish on the side where it was originally placed, taking care not to let the medium enter the tiny space between the lid and the bottom;
Take out the used straw.
Precautions:
It must be cleaned and disinfected before use. Whether the petri dish is clean or not has a greater impact on the work, which can affect the pH of the culture medium. If there are certain chemicals, it will inhibit the growth of bacteria.
The newly purchased petri dishes should be rinsed with hot water first, and then soaked in a 1% or 2% hydrochloric acid solution for several hours to remove free alkaline substances, and then rinsed with distilled water twice.
To cultivate bacteria, ethylene oxide sterilization can be used to kill bacteria's teeth.
Only sterilized petri dishes can be used for inoculation and culture.
